FAQ

Can I bring my own board and launch from your location?

Yes, we will even pump it up for you with our electric pumps for a £3 charge. We just ask in return that you make a purchase from the pub in return.

Parking

Due to limited space and the extreme demand and overcrowding of the Gibraltar gardens pub car park from paddle boarders and the pubs own customer’s, we ask all of our customers kindly to now park on either Swanston road (free), Heigham street (free) or Nelson Street (free for up to two hours and free on Sundays), all of which are under a minutes walk from the pub.

No experience is required. But you are required to be a confident swimmer. There is no guarantee that you will stand up first go, but that is all part of the fun! Paddleboarding is a very easy sport to learn and can actually be self-taught. As part of your hire fee though, a safety demo and beginners tuition is included in your hire that teaches you all the basics of paddleboarding. If you feel like you may require additional help or supervision, one of our instructors can be hired to paddle alongside you for just £30 extra for a 2.5-hour session. Instructors can go out with groups of up to 10 people and the price doesn’t change. Video instruction can be seen in our instruction section.
