doesn't recommendsTurned up for evening event and it was NOT novice-friendly. Got left behind at the start. My understanding was someone... was supposed to remain behind us but this didn't happen. Was left flapping in a pitch-black river by myself, had to turn back to the pub and wait for an hour so I could my stuff back. Would have been nice to know if this was going to be a beginner-friendly or not.read more

recommendsSuper place to hire boards. All the staff are really great. Ed is particularly friendly and helpful. Turn right to go... towards the city centre or left for a peaceful paddle towards hellesdon mill.

recommendsWe went tonight 16/9.. really cold.. myself and my 3 grown kids were met with big smiles from Tamsin. Lovely from start... to finish, told us what we needed to know and answered our many question, even put up with the constant banter.
Couldn't ask for more... but we did. she gave us tips, tricks and was assuring and honest. I.e.. the more nervous you are, the more likely to fall in.. is so true.
Not only was the instructor Lovely, the setting is too.. plenty of wildlife, waterhole, herons, swans and believe it or not 8 or 9 green parrots/parakeets... Could not believe it.

we were lucky to have the river to ourselves.. probably because I was daft enough to keep the booking in the cold weather.. but it was worth it.

Would I recommend..absolutely YES. Without a doubt.read more

recommendsI spent a few hours this afternoon on the boards with my friend Alice
I have always thought how amazing it looked... but had never dared give it a try until now so when my friend invited me to try it with her I jumped at the chance and it’s safe to say I haven’t regretted it
I am so happy I bit the bullet!!!
I didn’t fall In at all!!! (Which is what I was most worried about!)
And I had the best time taking in all the things to see as was calmly flowed along the river also taking time out to eat a picnic on the board!!!
It was just what I needed so calming and so nice to be out in the sun and fresh air
And see the nature from the ducks ect at wensum park to a swan sitting on her nest and the sound lf the birds was beautiful
Don’t be shy the staff are so friends and the boards seam to be of such good quality and the instructions given at the start and the life jacket are all to keep you safe so don’t worry just give it a go!

recommendssolutely brilliant day with Adam, I can’t swim n tend to panic as I’m not keen on water, took me n my 21 year old out... for the day n Adam was brilliant , let’s you take it at your own pace, good to chat to with craic n banta, my son fell in n is a big lad n struggled to get back on , Adam remained cool calm n in complete control of the situation, I wanted to help ( dads instinct) but he had it all sorted 👍👍
Then it was my turn to try n stand up , 😂😂 straight in the drink n swallowed as tried to shout him as I was going in, 👍👍 he was straight there n told me what to do and got me back on the board , fell off again 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ And he was straight there again to help, had total confidence in him n the confidence and encouragement he gave us was great ,, massive thanks mate,

My wife was happy sitting near the river reading her book while the boys went off to play 👍👍

recommendsHaving hear a lot of really good reviews about Norwich paddle board hire, my better half and I decided on giving it a... go for a different date night.. I was a little nervous to start with as I’m not the greatest swimmer but after being welcomed by the team and given very detailed safety talk, my confidence felt better.

Booking the date I wanted was really easy via the website and finding the location was even easier. The river location is stunningly beautiful and long with the wildlife we came across as the sunset.
Even though I fell in twice, we loved every minute to the point, that we booked up again while having a drink and a bit to eat at the Gibraltar gardens pub. (Same location).read more
